Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GJB.2ACE/273.1 Message Board Post: I remember the Cotton Mill from my youth. My parents worked in the Alden Knitting Mill in Tuxedo(south of RR tracks). The Cotton Mill was in East End (north of the tracks) Seems to me it was called Sanders, but I am not sure of that. I do not remember when it closed, but Acme Building Supply was later located in that building. (They did millwork, too, as well as retail). Before moving to Meridian, my parents worked in the Laurel, MS cotton mill and my father went to work in Stonewall Cotton Mill at a very tender age, probably 12 or 13. The mention of cotton mills evokes some strong memories for me. Emma Lou Burt Price
