A descendant of his (Granddaughter), Martha Ann Pelt married my GGrandfather, William M. Price in Meridian, MS in 1842. I have not been able to figure out why/how Martha Ann got over to Meridian. Would the Van Pelt family you are familiar with have "roots" that far back in Lauderdale County or neighboring MS/Al counties?? Briscoe Price
