I am almost certain it is George Washington Morgan, but have no proof. If Wesley Deskin's second wife, Julia Lanier, wrote a letter about her husband's parents being killed in Texas, on January 1, 1839, the date of the Morgan Massacre, then I would sure like to see it. I am also searching for any information I can find on this family. I have quite a bit on Wesley Deskin and Nathan Lightfoot, but still do not know the name of the people who raised Wesley, after he was left without his father. I had always heard that, and I know he was about 7, and that would make the date of his father's death, 1839, for Wesley was born in 1832. However, I do not know the name of the man who took over the job of raising him. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
