I am posting this on several message boards so my apologies if you see it more than once. William C. White was born in 1802 in S. C. He married Elizabeth L. Austin (born 1809 in Missouri) and by 1830 they were in Monroe Co., Al. Children of WILLIAM WHITE and ELIZA AUSTIN were: i. JAMES3 WHITE, b. 1829. ii. WILLIAM WHITE, b. 1830. iii. MARY E. WHITE, b. Sometime between 1855 and 1860, William and Eliza and all of their sons, except William, moved to Lauderdale Co., Miss. The 1860 Lauderdale census includes 3 young women living in the household. They were Caroline R., who was the wife of a son Richard, and Betty, 19, and Julia, 17, who were probably wives of other sons. Eliza died between July 7, 1860 and June 7, 1861 and William C. married Rebecca Jane Roberts Yarrell. The 1870 Lauderdale census shows William C. White, Rebecca J. White, Benjamin W. White (William's son), Rebecca's son, Pearce W. Yarrell and his wife Mary J. living in the same household. The 1880 Lauderdale census has William C. White, Rebecca White, Pearce Yarrell, and 5 of Rebecca's grandchildren, Julius, Claudius, John, Flavia and Mary Till. They were the children of David and Emily Yarrell Till. Richard Austin White moved back to Alabama and raised his family in the Walker Springs area of Clarke Co., Al. I have no information about any of the other children, It was passed down throught the family that some of them moved to Texas and that one remained in Miss. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information or is connected to this family Thanks, Claris Schofield ferrytheriver@yahoo.com --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
