I was interested in his daughter, Martha, my wife's ggrandmother, at the time and wasn't interested in the other descendants. Martha married John Henry Elam and they lived in Clarke Co, MS, after their marriage. However, I know that William Lafayette Brown had at least 4 children and I have listed the information I have below. However, William Lafayette had 2 brothers that your William could be descended from and William Lafayette had 3 sons, one of whom was William born abt 1855. I suspect that there may be some probate or deed records splitting William Lafayette Brown's property in 1889, but I haven't look for the records. I confess that when I saw the surname Brown, I kinda got a little discouraged. I was able to find William Lafayette Brown's father William's probate records and discovered all William Lafayette's brothers and sisters, but since!
