    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Dwyer/Lovette Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GJB.2ACE/1024.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for your response, Harriet. I was fortunate enough to hook up with Ward Calhoun in early May. He is the records manager at the Lauderdale Archives Dept. We developed a rapport when the Dwyer name was mentioned. Seems he used to buy his suits from my dad's brother, Mike Dwyer, there at either Pigfords or Marx Rothenburgs(?) in Meridian. He was kind enough to send me copies of the city directory pages for 1918-1919 and 1923 that show the Dwyers. There were several family members living at the addresses I mentioned so I presume the address was a residence, but I am not certain of that. Other family members named in the 1918-1919 directory were: Lurline Dwyer, Michael (Leona) Dwyer eng. for Southern Railroad, and Michael Leo Dwyer working at United Cigar Stores all living at 3016 Davis. The 1923 directory showed Dorothy Dwyer (a student), Frances B. Dwyer (clerk for A G Harvey), and Michael (Leona) Dwyer (eng) living at 3016 Davis. It showed Michael Leo Dwyer(flagman)and Alice Dwyer living at 603 29th Ave. If you or anyone reading this has info on any of these people, please reply or email me directly at carolburt4836@aol.com. Thanks.

He was also time keeper. When I was at the arkives last time they had all the city directorys. I was able to locate many places that were boarding houses. If there is someone in Meridian that will do look ups you might be able to see if your step grandfather was livling with family or in a boarding house. My Grandmother said a lot of the men would live with families around the yard. but those addresses are kind of far from where the round house was. Closer to where the depo was.
