    1. Re: Cemetery Near Wyatt's Crossing
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AKB.2ACI/1238.2 Message Board Post: The Cemetery is know as Old Wyatt, while it is a rather large cemetery there are only about 7 or 8 stones. Possibly many of the early graves were marked with wooden headstones as the town of Wyatt was declining prior to the Civil War and what remained was burnt by the Yanks. There are 3 or 4 stones for the Estill family who were storekeepers in the town, a Billingsley, a Leeton, and a Nicholson. The cemetery is enumerated in the Lafayette County Cemetery Book. Sorry no Venable's or Caid's.
