    2. Evie, I have just read your new Rootsweb article on the Price Memorial Methodist Church. I was excited to see the map that you included where you indicated the location of the Price family cemetery. It has left me with some questions though. In January (see e-mail below), you indicated to me that the cemetery was located in Sec 26. The map you included in your article shows the cemetery located in Sec 24. Are there two different cemeteries or have you found out new info that has led you to believe that the Sec 26 location was incorrect? Thanks! Suspense is over really over!!!!! Hi, Debbie; I have good news for you, we have found the Wash Price cemetery, it is in section 26 . Property owner is not very cooperative. I took this to a well known member of Skipwith H&G Society who lived all her life at Tula just a few minutes from this section where Oak Grove and the cemetery was locate. She knows this family personally and he was willing to tell her where it is located and allow her and me to visit it on the first warm day of this coming week, she has just had her lungs cleaned so she can't be out in cold windy weather. I will take photos of any tombstones remaining. Afterward, we will talk to the gentleman to see if he will allow descendants to visit it. We have had recent vandlism of the Old Yellow Leaf cemetery where the Robertsons are buried so property owners are learly of strangers. 3. Debbie, It appeared to be 26 where it joins 23. I get new information every time I look into this matter, this is an ongoing search right now, and I have just recently pin pointed the location of the cemetery. In the statement I made about sec 26 I was simply going on the facts of other deeds and the section maps, which you can see can be misleading. I have not been able to get my friend who is in the SHGS to take me to the cemetery, she knows exactly where it is but won't go into details with me because she isn't well and fear a dog who we were told was there plus the valuable information , the vice president of the society is updating the cemetery books and want to keep all new information for those books in order to sell them to bring funds into the Society. I went out on my own yesterday looking after I found these deeds. I went to the road I thought perhaps it was on , stopping to ask a resident only she told me to go to the Denmark road and stop and ask the residents there, that the only entry was on that Road, which runs along sec 24. is why I marked the cemetery as I did. But, I still think I was on the right road only it is a dead end now, It is marked 4061 and on the old 1912 map it goes all the way through to new Hwy ^ and a church was on the end where you would intersect with New Hwy 6. I will not give up until I get some pictures of this cemetery, remember, until I tell you exactly the location what I send you now or place on the page is just clues I am receiving from my search. But, yes it is in that area, the house was on the line of sec 23 and 26 as the church deed states the church was. yet I believe Oak Grove was inside sec 23 on the left of the road going east. I was led on a chase yesterday by a Mrs Morgan who lives in sec 24 , she is sickly so I over looked her error because she did attempt to help me, she told me to go a couple of miles toward Denmark where the Stock farm was and find a barn on a hill to the left of the road that I might get to the cemetery from there , that a woman named Nancy Dotson lived in a house just across from the stock farm a few years ago and walk to the Price cemetery, Mrs Morgan said she remember this woman stating she found a tombstone broken in half in a ditch with a name the same as hers, Nancy Dotson. Only thing there is no Nancy Dotson whose husband was named Bill who was an attorney in Oxford, but there is a William Denton I know there are some Dentons around Pleasant Hill aka Kingdom Cemetery and this could be the woman's name but she couldn't have walked to the Pleasant Hill / Kingdom Cemetery because it would have been 5 miles as the crow flys acroos many fences and hollers from her house ! on Denmark road. Because of what Clifton / Clayton Price wrote concerning his family in the Heritage book and other articles people are mislead. That is why it was so important that I found these deeds that Ola Price Leathers signed. I have the deed to Pleasant Hill Church and Cemetery and it was a Denton who donated its land. Some stick the Price family in the Pleasant Hill/Kingdom area but they didn't live very near there , they could have gone to church there since it was an Presbyterian Church and the older Prices were Presbyterians. Here is a snapshot of the old1912 map , marked in red is a road that is closed now, it goes just pass Oak Grove house in sec 23 on north connecting with a road coming out of Sec 13 which Price owned into T8 R1 sec 19 and back to sec 24 T9 R2W and T8R1 S sec 19 lines back to old Hwy 6 ala Hwy 334. Hope you can tell where Iam speaking abt, compare to other Twp 9 R2S maps I have send you. Look for the sections I told you were Wash's. Remember his land covered many sections here.
