    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: WEBB Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AKB.2ACI/1270.1 Message Board Post: First, I'm a little confused as to why I receive "copies" of emails posted in response to messages on here, but these responses are not listed as posted responses at the bottom of the orginal post. I'm still learning. Second, a response by email to this post speaks of a John Thomas Webb and his brother, Joab S. Webb. There is some confusing about John Thomas Webb. There may be two different John Thomas Webbs. Elisha and Mary Sharp Webb had a son, John Thomas Webb, born in May 1851 in Lafayette County, MS. Silas L. and (1) Sarah Ann Berryhill Webb had a son, Joab, born in 1838 in Marion, AL. Silas L. and (2) Nancy Berryhill Webb had a son, John, born in 1856, Marion, AL. What I've been trying to do for months is to try to determine what connection, if any, Silas and Elisha had. I am leaning real heavy toward them being brothers. But, I have no confirming documentation. One reason is that Elisha had a brother named Silas. He had another brother named William. Silas named a son, William Thomas. I know these names are very common ones. So, whether they are related, I don't know. If anyone has any info that would help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Sue
