Anita I found their marriage in Volume 3 of the Lafayette County MS. marriage bonds on the date you specified. I could not find William J. in the 1870 census record as a head of a household. It is possible that he was living in someone else's household and would not be listed in the index in the back of the book. I will try to go page by page but it will take some time. There is a S.S. McCrary age 26 and M.C. age 20 with their 3 young children. The only others are the children of John C. McRae who was my GGGrandfather. You probably have seen my posting regarding them.
