I didn't find David or Ada Smith in the Cemetery Records books, but remember they were published in 1978 & 1979. (Someone might double-check -- looking for Smith's is tedious! Just about like looking for the Hill family name!) I believe I did find them in the 1930 Lafayette Co. Miss. census, Roll 1152, Book 2, page 49b. 3 Bt. Northeast part 17/18 Smith, David F 46 head , Lee A. 38 wife , Roy F. 6 (or Ray) son . Elizabeth 3 daughter , John H. (less than 1 yr) son I scrolled through this part of the 1930 census because they lived in this area in 1920. I noticed my great uncle's family, Jessie DeShazo, just a few households before the Smith household. They lived in the Harmontown Community of Lafayette Co. Hope this helps.
