James Harmon was the brother of my Jacob Harmon mentioned in my previous post, and they were sons of John Leonardt Harmon (1738-c1794) and Mary Langford (?-1817). John was the son of immigrant Melchoir Hermann/Harmon (b. c1715, Wurtemburg, Germany). The other Harmons you mentioned (George, W., and Sam) were other sons of John Leonardt Harmon, and therefore they were uncles of your Martha Eliza Harmon.
