This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AKB.2ACI/1256.1.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Hello again, Here are the specifics on Webb's location. First, go to http://www.msgen.net/co/lafayette/index.html. Then click the link Lafayette County Cemeteries from USGS (65). Then click "Webb Cemetery" from the list. Then click View USGS Digital Raster Graphic (DRG). Click the "Largest" map size in the upper left hand corner of the map. Zoom out until you see the town name of Tula. Including the red square that Tuls is in, count down 4 red squares. Then count one red square to the left. The road that cuts through the top and bottom of that square is CR 493. Between it and the Potlockney Creek is a tall hill top. Zoom in on that hill top and you will see a badly rendered rectangle made of dotted lines with a christian cross in it. That's Webb Cemetery. If you have to go there, let me know and I'll put together a verbal description of how to get there. Good luck with your search, Paul Bruening
Excuse me, I send the exact directions yesterday using Hwys and county roads. The simplest way is through Paris, take CR 428, it becomes rough gravel 1 mile past the Paris Memorial Cemetery, but it is maintained by the County so the road is passable. About 8 to 10 miles , you will come to your first road bearing off CR 428, this is CR 493 , take this 1/10 to 1/2 mi on your right or east side of road will be the WEBB cemetery with a metal gate and sign arching over gate with WEBB on it. You may come from Tulia on Hwy 334 to CR 445 turn west go about 1 or 2 mi to CR 428 , take it several miles. the cemtery will be east of road. You don't need an electronic gizmo to take you there , just good road savvy. It is on the 911 County Map. No red cross is at cemtery nor hill top.
