Murphrey and Caroline Perry Murphrey. My great grandfather, George Edward Murphrey was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on 2/14/1847. He was 1 of 12 children. At the age of 12, his family moved to MS. They lived there at the outbreak of the Civil War. After his return from the War, on 11/30/1865 he maried Sarah Amanda Bigger. To this marriage was born 8 children. Anna Mittie Lena Murphrey (my grandmother) was born 12/10/1867 in Lafayette Co., MS. If anyone has any information on this family, I will really appreciate some help with it. I'll be happy to share any info I might have with anyone connecting to this family.
