Forwarded by the Listadmin for "Ken Hollingsworth" <[email protected]> *ANNOUNCING* a new list, [email protected] - for discussion of Mississippi in the Civil War. I appologize to those who will receive multiple copies of this message from any of my MS county lists. Realizing a need for such a list, along with a personal interest in Mississippi in the Civil War, I have requested and received a new list on Rootsweb, MS-CW-L (or D). Past experience of discussion of the Civil War on this list (or others) tells me that subject is not "generally" accepted by those who desire a forum for Genealogy-related discussion only. If your interest is in Genealogy "ONLY", do not subscribe to the MS-CW-L list. The purpose of this list is to provide a forum for discussing Mississippi in the Civil War, specifically Genealogy, History, Politics, and for sharing lists of those who served in the Civil War. As long as your message concerns these areas, it will be considered "within scope" as long as it is not offensive to a person's race, religion, or ethnicity. If these areas of study seem too offensive to you on a general nature, I suggest you NOT subscribe to the CW list. Subscribe to the Mississippi-L instead. That list is for genealogy-related issues only. I would suggest that anyone subscribing soon, to wait a day or so to post. I would hope that someone with more knowledge than myself would subscribe and be able to answer some of the questions. An alternative to subscribing in the usual way is to send me an email requesting to subscribe thusly - To: [email protected] Subject: MS-CW-L (or D) Subscribe with any comments you wish to make in the body of the email. As soon as there are several participants, and I subscribe all the requests, you will receive the welcome message. At that time - you can assume there will be enough participants to discuss an issue. *WARNING* - anyone posting messages that are offensive (see above) or inflamatory in nature - WILL BE REMOVED AND BLOCKED FROM THE LIST. List etiquette is not only expected, it's demanded. Ken Hollingsworth ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
