    3. Maxine, I saw your post and thought I'd throw a few bits of information your way, since I have quite a few books on the county. First, I did not find evidence of a will for Lewis S. Nabors, nor was he listed in the cemetery records or probate court records. Here is what I found in my books: Source: Early Settlers of Lafayette Co., Mississippi, published by the Skipwith Historical and Genealogical Society. page 106 In 1850, L. S. Nabors owned 15 acres of land valued at $30. His personal property was valued at $300. He harvested 200 bushels of corn and 2 bales of cotton. Source: Family Ties, Volume 1, pp 13-14, published by the Skipwith Historical and Genealogical Society. Howell Jefferson Davis Segler Bible (transcribed as written) Howel Segler an Leanna Nabors was married January the 10 in the year of our lord 1883. H. C. Nabors was born Sept 15, 1837 E. J. Nabors Wife of H. C. Nabors was born Sept 27th 1833 Source: Lafayette County, Mississippi Cemetery Records, Volume I, published by the Skipwith Historical and Genealogical Society. Tula Cemetery Lewis Sexton Nabors, son of J. W. and M. N., b. 29 July 1888, d. 21 September 1886. In the Lafayette County Heritage book there is a 1 column article on the Neighbors family, written by John Morgan King. I read through it but did not find any mention of the name Lewis S. The article concerns Abraham Neighbors (with alternate spellings) who "came to this country from france". One of their descendants, Benjamin L. Nabors from South Carolina arrived in Lafayette Co circa 1830-1835. If you would like the full text of the article, let me know and I'll type it out for you. Bill Ward Pottsboro, TX

    3. I read your post referring to "Early Settlers of Lafayette County Mississippi" and was wondering if you would do a lookup for me on Elisha and/or Mary Sharp Webb. I know they owned 1,000 acres of land in the southeastern part of the county in the Potlocona community during the Civil War. Thanks for any info.
