Hello list, I am new to this list. I am looking for a man named Benjamin Amerson who died in this county in 1866. I don't know if he lived here or not. He was from Blount Co, AL and had found in the civil war in a CSA unit from Blount Co, AL. I do not know why he was in the county and if his family was with him or not. The death info came from his widow in her request for his Mexican War pension in the 1880's. I do know that she and her children were back in Blount Co, AL in the 1870 census. I have two questions - 1) does anyone have a county wide or partial county book that lists burials ??? 2) was there a Civil War battle (s) in this county ??? Thanks for any help - Robin Amerson
