Dear Lou, Sounds like a fascinating but very sad story about the brothers fighting on separate sides and shooting each other--I imagine it happened a lot more than one would think. So far, I have not come across any similar circumstances on my Hanson family side, as it seems that they were all firmly planted in the south and on the side of the CSA. It also sounds like you are already searching with the expert--George Goforth. I've corresponded with him some and he did have some information on Thomas Jefferson Goforth and Sarah Ann Hanson that he provided to me. He is a great source. Another source in MS is Don Mabry.
