Yes the old cemetary that is behind Anchor B. C. is the old Shipp Cemetary. I live directly across from it on County Road 373. There is also another cemetary on the road before you come to the Shipp Cemetary, it is the new Anchor B. C. Cemetary and has about 5 or 6 people buried in it so far. I think what you mean by hospital is that the old Shipp House is back in the woods from the cemetary. There is nothing left of it except the foundation. It burned in the 1960s, but had not been lived in for years before that. It was an antebellum (or near antebellum) house, in the shape of a big "L", and two storied. My grandmother always said she would have loved to live in that house. It might have been used as a hospital in the Civil War possibly... (don't know about that, don't know much about it's early history). I am linked to some of the names you mentioned by marriages, but not directly descended from those families.
