My ggrand mother was a Drew or Drewcilla Harvell ,before she married a Poke Johnson. Poke johnson was born in Panola county Ms.,before moving to Lafayette county. Poke johnson was a american indain .He was born around 1845 and died around 1880.Caroline and her family came from Alabama,there were Drewcilla ,her Mother Father ,and two brothers as the story goes.The was on a wagon train going west.The family stopped around puscus lake, Carolina fell in love witha a indain boy,the father had died along the way.Poke And Drewcilla they were married .The two brothers goined the war to fight for the south.Three of Poke Johnsons and Drewcilla children was Charley and ,and Annie, Fanny lee Johnson.Fanny lee married Calvin luther.Later in life,Drewcella married a Mr.Tubbs.Would Poke johnson and Drewcellas, marrage be at the Corthouse from around 1865--1880.ALSO , also is indain land around oxford or Panalo county.W.hat kind of indain was around that land.Are are there any cementaries around puscus lake,or maybe tula they may have lived there ,mississippi. peggy billings
