Giles Luke Driver(b.1796) had a sister and a daughter named Penelope, and had a brother named William J Driver(b 1804 ,my direct desendant) He was married to Sarah Nichols, so I wonder if your William J is a son of Giles Luke. In Giles Luke's will, (he died in 1879), he left 1/7 of his estate to the heirs of William J Driver, I know of no other William J but mine. Do you have any idea? Also, the marriage you mention for William J..does it have a date? I ask this becasue there are two separate facts in the past that have led me to suspect that Wm J and his wife had split up..but no proof..anything you could tell me to clear up any of ther above..I would appreciate it. Any cemetery, death and marriage records for Drivers in Laf. Co would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Regards Andy Brandon andybrandon33@hotmail.com

I'm sorry that I don't have a lot of information on Florene, but, I do have information on her father, and her father's family going way back to the 1700's. My direct line is the Rankin line. My gggrandfather was Theopholus Rankin who was the brother to Patton Rankin who married Mary Patton. Patton's full name was Patton Harrison Rankin. I have their parents and grandparents, and quite a bit on their siblings as well. I have located Theopholus Rankin's grave site at the Sarepta Cemetery. None of his three wives burial sites are known. Patton is buried in the Hopewell Cemetery and Mary is buried in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Would love to chat more about the family. Please feel free to contact me. Kelli

I just want to know where she is buried and if it's local, the next time I visit I can put flowers there in her honor. Here are my clues. Things I know about her, and things I don't. Florene Olivia (Rankin) Turner born and lived in the Abbeville, Ms area according to census info she was born in Mar 1865 In these census records you can see her listed as Florence Rankin (mispelled) Lorene Turner F. O. Turner Florenia Turner Her Parents were: Pat Rankin (b: Aug 20, 1837 - died May 6, 1921) married to Mary L. Patton (b:July 22, 1839 - died Dec 22, 1901) Florene Olivia Turner would become the mother of 4 boys Harrison Cyrus Turner born Jan 1897 (married Evie) Pat Rankin Turner born Feb 1899 (moved to California) John Tyler Turner born Feb 1901(buried Abbeville by his dad) Charlie Turner born 1903 The last time I can see her is in the 1930 census around 65 years old {{grinning}} she like to shave off a few years here and there! shhh... she told them she was 63 that year! Anyway, normal lifespan would tell me that she died within the next 20 years or so...1930-1950 ish...... Her tombstone should still be visible.... I just don't even have a clue where or what cemetery... The fact that she lived the majority of her life in Lafayette County leads me to believe she died there... If I could find her son Harrrison Cyrus & his wife Evie.. maybe she's buried by them? Thanks for any help, This is a longshot and a lot of searching! A

Bruce; Have you looked in Pontotoc County for any of this information, Lafayette Springs is almost on the Pontotoc County Line and the mial may have been LAFAYETTE SPRINGS but they live in the Pontotoc side of the line, I did some McCord research for my cousin in December and we dicovered this was true , she thought hers was in Pontotoc Co. but found they were inside the Lafayette Co line with mail addy of Lafayette Springs. I am of a Campbell descendant but that is way back in 1700's in N> C. and S. C. Wish I could offer more. Evie Crocker Paris, Lafayette Co. In the 1840 census John Campbell is living next to my GGGfather John C. (Campbell) McRae. John Campbell was listed as the head of the household but I believe the two females living with him are his mother and little sister. John Campbell age between 30 and 40 years Unknown female age between 50 and 60 years Unknown female age between 10 and 15 years Also living next to my GGGfather was his brother Hugh and I believe his younger sister Margaret. Campbell married W.T. Wilkins on January 3, 1856. I found Nancy Campbell (born in TN) in the 1850 census living with a Daniel M. Campbell (born in NC) and his wife Caroline (born in SC) and their five children. She is listed as being 29 years old. I believe that John Campbell and Nancy Wilkins are brother and sister and that Christina/Chris is their elderly mother. I also believe that the wife of John Campbell is Margaret McRae the sister of John C. and Hugh McRae. I suspect that they married sometime after the 1840 census but I do not find a marriage record for John Campbell in Lafayette County. I am seeking information from the descendents of John Campbell that can tell me if my assumptions are correct (or way off) about Margaret being a McRae and where did John and Margaret move after they left Lafayette County MS. I am very interested in these Campbells because John C., Hugh, and Margaret are children of Farquhar McRae and Catherine (Kate) Campbell. I believe that Farquhar and Catherine married somewhere in SC then moved to Anson County NC.
