According to the 1850 census in Red River Co., Tx., he was born 1800 in N.C. and died in RR Co. in 1854. His wife was Mary Ann (called Polly), age 24 in 1850, so probably a second wife. I don't have the children listed in front of me, but they included older ones, (Sterling, 16) James, and younger ones, Perry, Andrew, and others. There was only one girl, Lucy. When I can see the list I'll give you all the names. Maybe this small amount of information will give you a start, and if you will send your e-mail I'll tell you the rest that I know. The only Ray given name that I have that is on your list is Roxie, but she is the daughter William Ray and Armenta Garner. Siblings to Roxie were Lawrence, Mamie Marie, Jim, Glenn & Ernest. They were born in Oklahoma. I don't know where William was from but Armenta had connections to Lafayette county at least through her mother, Sarah Elizabeth Sharp and her grandparents, John Albert Sharp and Martha Ward.
