    3. Hello, Gene; I would like to have the new url for your Webb/Sharp or J. J. Sharp page to place on the Lafayette County MSGenWeb page. I am updating and discovered yours was no longer on the url John Starnes had placed on the index page. I am now the CC for the Lafayette County MSGenWeb Also, to the list if you have a web page concerning Lafayette County Genealogy or History, send it to me and I will link to it. Also, if you would like your family tombstones pictures placed on the Lafayette Cemetery page then, send them to me with a breif note telling which Lafayette Co cemetery they are in. Regina Webb Brown has send me pictures of the Webb cemetery and a brief Bio of the Webb/Sharp family which I hope to have on line by the end of this month. Have to update all the pages on Lafayette Co. But, am building cemetery pages along with the updating. 3. Glad to help, Evie. I understand why you don't have time to help individually, with all the web sites you take care of. I have always wondered why people write to the county coordinator with such broad requests for assistance, and never think to look at the lookup page for assistance there. And they don't read the disclaimer on the home page that tells them you are not their personal research source (or at least it should say that, without being rude). I can understand why newbies do this, but it's the older, more experienced researchers that should know better. So why do bother? Because it's just the right thing to do, plus I've met many, many "cousins" that way, and received more information in return than 2 or 3 weeks of research would uncover for me. "Ye reap what ye sow", is a very true statement, I guess. Keep 'em coming; i'll help when I can. Bill Evie <texannusa36@yahoo.com> wrote: Thanks, for assisting this lady, Bill. 3. Hello, Bonnie and other CRAIG researchers. Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Chris B. Morgan who compiled and published the book "Yalobusha Bound", there is quite a bit of factual data on this family line. The information was researched by Lillian Magruder or Jackson, MS and submitted to Mr. Morgan for publication. On pages 162 - 165 of the book, this family's ancestry chart is reported as a footnote to Family #376, Alfred C. CRAIG, age 40, b. Limeston Co., AL and his wife, Sarah, age 40, b. TN. I'll see if I can retype this info below without typos: ===================== extract =========================== John CRAIG (1764-1852) was a son of James CRAIG, Sr. and his wife whose name is unknown. There is more detail in Yalobusha Bound than above, which I can provide at a later date if you don't already have that. I'm not including it here because I am assuming that since you already know James CRAIG and his wife, Susannah BRUNSON, that you'll have the lineage detailed up to that point. I hope this helps you in the direction you needed. Bill Ward Lookup volunteer, Lafayette Co., MS

    3. You are welcome, Bill did all the work. Say, Paul, I don't rather you will be interseted in this but one of my great grand uncle, Alfred Tolloson Bryant's twin daughter's married a Joe Palmer, she died in childbirth in 1880 . They married in Calhoun County MS. I have two other Palmers in my data. Another of my great grand aunt, Hannah Bryant Harvey's sons, Cluade Reid Harvey married a Josie Palmer about the same time in Lafayette or Calhoun County MS. The Harvey place was almost on the county line. Now, about my Moores, my grand aunt Mary R. Gandy married a John Daniel Moore bn. 1844 in Lafayette Co. MS, died in Ripley MO., she died in Memphis Tn. she lived several years after he died. John Daniel Moore's parents were James Thomas Moore bn. 1808 in Ky , died 1874, Lafayette Co. MS. his wife was Elizabeth Whitewall Moore, She died in 1908 in Ripley, MO. buried in Whitewall cemetery. It seems the Palmers and moores went to Ripley MO area. I know you have brothers of E. L. but maybe this will help give you a lead. Evie --- Beckpaulbeck@aol.com wrote: > Bill and Evie - Thanks for research and information. > > Paul Beck > > > ============================== > New!
