Oak Grove 1984 aka 7Cs and the owner's Name and phone number Also, pictures' of Ammadelle ca: 1900 and Huldric's home, "KENNEDY-PRICE-SHAW" house. Yes! I have uncovered all of the above. HUH! 3. Thanks for responding to my query, Rachell. If you have a Jarrett/Garrett/Jaret Avant, I'd be happy to have his marriage information if you can find it. He was born about 1820, as I think I said in the other query. I believe he was married three times. Once to Adline, and another to Classie. I believe he might have been married before Adline. He was 90 yrs. old on the last pension application I have for him. These Avants ended up in Panola Co., right across the borderline of Lafayette Co. Claiborne Avant married Anna Heflin. (I suppose she was a slave of W. D. Heflin [The Heflin Museum connection, I'd think]) I might have found their marriage license in Oxford, but I may be wrong, I might have found it in Batesville. (You can see I haven't documented as I'm suppose to. :) (John) Claiborne Sr. who is mentioned above, had a John Avant, Jr. who married Glennie (Joyner/Joiner) Avant (She had been married before that to a Thomas Avant). Thanks for doing this for me. Glennie Rachellbab@aol.com wrote: I have African American marriage books for Lafayette Co, MS. from 1865-1975.
