    2. Jay, goodness, I have several files of Ham(b)let(t)s namely my Yalobusha Co MS Hambletts, the Lafayette Co MS Hambletts, one of the many TN Hamletts, some GA and NC Ham(blet(t)s etc.I have even looked at some of the FAR northern Ham(b)let(t)s. Looks like many maybe most or ALL of our Southern Hambletts do go back to VA roots, but I haven't seen the proof yet. And everything I have is available various RootsWeb sites. Email me at [email protected] and we can share information. Audrey

    2. I have a copy of my mother's high school graduation class. She went to College Hill so she would be able to attend the University after H. S. graduation. On the back of the picture is a list of graduates apparently compiled in 1955 I don't know if the list would be too long to share here, but I would be happy to share the list and could e-mail a copy of the picture to anyone wanting it. She called the school the Lafayett County Agricultural High School and it was located at College Hill. There are 34 graduating students in the picture and it appears that there is at least a name and usually a little more information relating to each. My mother was Nola Denton.

    3. I am researching the Rankin family that lived in Lafayette and Calhoun Counties. Theophilus Rankin lived in the Sarepta area at least from 1860-until his death in 1912. He buried in the Sarepta Cemetery. His children: Joseph Marcellos Rankin married the Emma Lewelling, daughter of Rev. G. W. Lewelling and Catherine Salmon, in December 1891. The 1900 Census lists them in Calhoun county and the 1910 census in Lafayette County. Mertillar "Myrtie" Rankin married fiirst a Mr. Porter then William Burris. The only census records that I have located thus far for this family is in Lafayette County. Theodocia Rankin married a Benjamin Ritchie. Theophilus had a brother, Benjamin Harrison Rankin that lived in Lafayette county from probably 1850 until 1878, when he moved to Texas. Another brother, Patton H. Rankin, lived in Lafayette County, near Oxford. His sons included Harrison Alvah Rankin and Walter Edward Rankin. I have only very basic information on these families such as DOB and DOD, place of burial. I am looking for any information to add details to these families. Also, I found in one of the cemetery record books, the name Marvin Alvah Rankin, it did not have a date of death. Does anyone know of this man? Is he still living? Any information is greatly appreciated.
