The article I read is in the Newton Co. Historical and Genealogical Society's quarterly newsletter, "Remembering". It is in Vol. 7, No. 3, July 2008. The article is called "The Yellow Fever Epidemic of 1878 Strikes Lake" by Martha Waltman. Also, in this newsletter it states that there is a Yellow Fever Cemetery, located on the south side of Highway 80 between Lawrence and Newton.
