Merrill in the 1940 Federal census. I also found them in the 1930 census living in Shuqualak, Noxubee county, MS. John was 23 years older than Hibernia according to that census and they had 3 children, Walter Clyde (age 10), George L. (age 6), and Dorothy J. Merrill (age 3).
