My GGF, George Wade King, told WPA group his closest relative, George King, lived there. I would love to know anything about the history of it. Is it or was it close to Lauderdale Springs, MS? What is the Township, Section and Range? I have been to the Sucarnochee River and have a couple of pictures of it and the scary bridge. My ancestor, Robert Hodges and his sons, Allen and James, operated a ferry across the River before 1843 when Robert and James got sick probably with malaria and died there. The reason I say malaria is I have a copy of the prescription for Allen's medicine and my Doctor says Quinine was used for malaria. Please share anything you have! Are there any books for sale?
