It was also the junction with the Sanoody Valley Railroad, later the DeKalb & Western RR. Never was much there. The railroad had a depot there. A 1907 Dun & Bradstreet mercantile list says it had a population of 150 and had the following businesses: Jacob Jonas- general store; Neville-Knight Lumber Co- sawmill; C T Rush- general store & mill; W D Watson- general store. A 1927 listing shows population of 80 and only one general store owned by S. M. Jones. Tony Howe Hattiesburg, MS Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
