Winston County is north of Neshoba County, Mississipi. I don't find any thing about Winston either. There were a lot of riots and fights in the book. The Kemper County Courthouse in Dekalb was burned a number of times reportedly to destroy evidence. Clarke's book has a lot of hearsay in it and might not be totally accurate.
