Go 22 miles on Hwy 45 and take the first left after the turn to Porterville. Go about 4 miles on Townsend-Porterville Road and take a left at the sign for Bay Springs. The church is on the right. My husband calls the area Puckettville since many decendents of William Henery Puckett still live there, but it is really called the Townsend Community. You are right about Waitus Puckett's wife, I had it wrong. Don't know where he is burried. Not sure if Rush Mill is still there. Just south of DeKalb,Ms off Hwy 39 is where it was. The road used to be called Firetower Road but the map calls it DeKalb-Porterville Road. This road cuts across to Hwy 45 and comes out @ Porterville.You can go to Google Earth and type in DeKalb or Porterville Ms or Bay Springs Baptist Church and see exactly where everything is.
