    3. Hi Guys, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm stepping down as the Kemper GenWeb Coordinator. I've had a wonderful time during the last eight years and the web has grown from three pages to almost 700 pages of information! It's so hard to believe it has gotten so large! I wanted to thank each of you for all of your input and suggestions for the web. Without volunteers and the wonderful group of submitters that I've been privileged to work with, the web would still be a 3 - pager! It was a hard decision to give up my "baby." Kemper was my first GenWeb and my first experience with working with webs. Wow, was it so long ago that I had to ask my husband how to get online? LOL! I've had a number of things going on in my household that are taking away the time that I had for working on the web. I have a full time job and a full time web business. For those of you that don't know, Templates in Time and Dreamweaver in Time are my online businesses and they keep me going ALL of the time! I also have another adventure that I'm embarking on .... I'm in the middle of getting my new book, "I am More Than a Wolf Whistle," edited. It is the Emmett Till story as told by my husband's mother, Carolyn. So hopefully, you'll see it on the best seller list and hopefully, the book company will like my title! Maybe it will be featured on Oprah! LOL! I will miss everyone terribly, but I'm still here, lurking in the background! The new web address is http://theusgenweb.org/ms/kemper/ Right now, I have the web online at my server, but as we speak, the files are being transferred to the new location. Jeff Kemp, the state coordinator will man the coordinator position. He's a wonderful guy and you'll just love him! So, with much sadness for leaving, but with much anticipation for the future, I'll say, "Goodbye." I wish all of you well and hopefully, the Kemper County GenWeb will give you that piece of information you needed to knock down your brick wall!!! With love, Marsha

    3. My Taylor family of Lauderdale Co MS were involved with the Delks. You might want to take a look in Lauderdale Co MS census. Vincent Delk was the patriarch of that family circa 1840 - 1850. Had a BIG family. Hope this might help in your hunt. I can find her in the census but only after she married Henry Bell Key in 1877 in Lauderdale MS. After that they moved to Sumter Co. Alabama. So far I can't find any records of her birth or any census of her up until 1877.After she married Henry, I can find one census record of her with their children. I was just wondering if there might be some records of a Moore family in Kemper County that might have her listed. I think she was either mullato or black, not sure on that one..but I know she wasn't white. that's all the information I have on her. Thanks Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am very fortunate to have some original letters written between my great grandfather and great grandmother in 1889, before they were married. Their names are Joseph Andrew Williams and Eliza Jane Poole. In some of Eliza's letters, she has Rushville, MS as her address. Also, I was very pleased to find on the Kemper Co. website the Enumeration of Educable Children. I found my Poole, Puckett, and Williams ancestors' names listed.
