I am trying to research the Shelton Brown Family. Also John Eakin and family. Info I am looking for is the last name of John's wife, Mary. Also anything on their children, Blanche, Ada, Ella, Stewart, Joseph and Minnie. Would like to know where John and Mary are buried. There is a John Eakin in the Bay Springs Cemetery but no dates, so this may or may not be him.

I have been trying to find whatever information is available on my BARKER family of Kemper Co.
Hello All, As administrator of this mail list, I do not object to roll calls, BUT in my experience, just listing surnames is a waste of time and energy. Most people who may have helpful information, including me, do not reply. If you want to do roll calls on this list, please include some biographical / genealogical information about the people and families you are looking for. Some of you have already mentioned surnames on which I might have information So, if you want to know what I know, please tell me more about the people you are looking for. Hi Marsha, Great job on the new look and ease of use. I'm researching my OVERSTREET family. Thanks! I'm Back! Hi All, Just wanted to let you know that I've been asked to be the Kemper County GenWeb Coordinator by the MS GenWeb State Coordinator. Kemper was my first love and now I'm pleased to have it again! The url is: http://www.msgw.org/kemper/ The first thing you'll notice is that the whole site has a new look. I hope you like it! I love it, but I'm biased since I created it! There are a few things I need help with: 1. If you posted anything on the site, you'll notice that there is no email address linked to you. I started emailing people, and more than half were bouncing, so I just took off all of the email addresses. Please send me your new email address for your surnames and anything else you posted. I MUST have the page that your name is on. There is no way that I can find you in the web. Your email address will be made into an image file. This way, I can easily change it when you change your provider and the webbots that scan sites to get email addresses, won't be able to gather it. We all get enough spam! 2. If something is missing that you placed online, please let me know. I just noticed that I forgot the whole "Land" folder, so I'll be working on it. If you are missing something that you sent in to LeFloris, I'm trying to compare pages, but I'm not finished yet. Just let me know and I'll get your info up quickly. 3. This will be a work in progress, so bare with me. The site is almost 600 pages long without the land records (and there are 100 pages of those!) 4. If we could do a surname roll call to the list, that would be great. I'll see how many of you are still hanging around Kemper, especially those that I worked with 5 years ago! If you want your surnames added to the website, please either email me directly, or ask in your roll call email, for me to post it. 5. I try to get to my genealogy webs often, but I have two jobs, so if I haven't responded to you in a week, please let me know (usually the email is buried and I've forgotten to mark it "important" in my inbox). I usually try to get stuff posted on the weekends. 6. If you notice broken links or even "Add your text here," please let me know the page so I can remove it. I make web templates to sell, and I used one of my templates for the site. 7. Which leads me to the last thing... all of the pages have a new extension, so instead of being .htm, they are all .html. The issue will be, if you've bookmarked a particular page, the page won't be found. Sorry about that. I'd love to hear from you! MS, 63, educ=7th grade Lena M., granddau, b. MS, 13 I didn't find death info for James/John and Sara. I'm beginning to think Mississippi doesn't publish those dates. You can send a request for their obituaries to the Neshoba County Library, http://www.neshobalibrary.net/. Sometimes a woman's maiden name is in her obituary. IF the Informant knew that info when she died, it will be on her death certificate. Also you can do a Google search for Neshoba County Mississippi Cemeteries and look for them in the inventoried cemeteries. Successful Searching!
