William V. Rainey b. 1810 VA was in Kemper Co., MS in 1840, 1841 and 1845. By 1860 he was living in Lauderdale Co., MS. He was a Captain in the Confederate Army. J. D. Miller, who was living with this family in 1860 was William's nephew, a son of Catherine Hall Rainey Miller and Eli T. Miller. Catherine is my direct ancestress. She is the eldest of his children, her brother; John Emerson Chisolm is my G2 grandfather. She was born in 1821 and married James M. Marks in Morgan county Georgia in 1841. They had five children the last being born in Texas in 1854. She is found in the census in Kemper county Ms. in 1860 as the widow of Abner Harbour. Logically James Marks died during or after 1854 with Elizabeth returning to Ms and marrying Harbour before 1859 as their only son; Isaac Hall Harbour being born in 1859. Elizabeth is not found in the census after 1860 therefore she must have died during that decade. Her son Isaac Hall Harbour died 21 December 1940 in Jackson Mississippi after being struck by a automobile. He is buried in plot 55 at the cedar lawn cemetery in Jackson, Ms. I do not have the burial location of Abner nor Elizabeth.
