Most are from Kemper Co, a few from Winston Co which is next door. If anyone comes across any old photos that might have any of these families in them, I would appreciate seeing them :) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If you can go to Kemper genealogy page and go to books, you will see the book Kemper County Vindicated. On page 70 or 71 the story I am talking about is there. He (the writer) has several pages on there and he mentioned without saying Clarke's name about this deed. I really appreciate your time and efforts! Winston County is north of Neshoba County, Mississipi. I don't find any thing about Winston either. There were a lot of riots and fights in the book. The Kemper County Courthouse in Dekalb was burned a number of times reportedly to destroy evidence. Clarke's book has a lot of hearsay in it and might not be totally accurate. I will try to read more to see if I can find any thing about your dates. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. It would have been a riot where at least these three were killed and their property was destroyed. In the Kemper Vindicated book, it was a time of 1869. The writer said that it was written in Bloody Kemper between 1869 - 1871. I found an Alex Duncan age 16 murdered June 1870 in Kemper Co. The other book showed that there was a court case bought against some guys one of who was named Rosenbaum. I will get the other names and post another reply. Thanks again! In the almost unreadable book - Kemper County Vindicated (because of the obvious hatred), the author wrote about the murder of three "Negroes" - Alex Duncan (aka Triplett), Lizzie Duncan (aka Triplett), and Alex Triplett. I am trying to find out if this incident was written about in the Bloody Kemper book by Hewitt Clarke. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
