Hi everyone, Just discovered Eudora Welty's "Country Churchyards." It was only published a year ago, but the photos in the book were taken by Miss Welty in the 1930's and 1940's. The book is made up of photographs of Mississippi churches/cemeteries/individual tombstones, with selected passages from her writings. I was surprised to find 10 different photos of Rodney churches or cemeteries in the book.....including Rodney Presbyterian, Bethel, Baptist and Catholic. The photos are both interesting and beautiful. It was published by University Press of Mississippi, 2000. Nancy Brister "It is a church upon whose calm interior nothing seems to press from the outer world.... (Even cannonballs were stopped by its strong walls, and are in them yet.) It is the kind of little church in which you might instinctively say prayers for your friends." "Some Notes on River Country" Eudora Welty
