    1. [MSJEFFER-L] Re: Passenger on boat source
    2. "Residents of the Mississippi Territory, Miscellaneous, Book 2B.", pages 230 - 233. The publisher is Ben Strickland, P. O. Box 5147, Moss Point MS 39563. The authors are Jean Strickland and Patricia N. Edwards. The set, Books 2A and 2B, are sold together. The index is in 2B. Book 2A has MST Legislative Acts, Court cases, Spanish Census of 1792, early censuses of Adams County through Jefferson County. These are not all of the Census data available. There is a set of microfilm Censuses of MST as well as Tax Rolls. Book 2B continues the Census data through Wilkinson County, 1816. Then comes misc. data such as boat passengers, American Tobacco Growers in the area of Natchez in 1790, Oaths of Allegiances in 1798 to the USA when the Spanish gave up the territory, and some land claim data and maps. These two books seem to be a handy reference for the area, particularly since the names are indexed. George R. Lewis
