Sally (Sarah) Jones married John W. Slater on April 7, 1817 in Jefferson Co. She was the daughter of my ancestor, George Jones, who died in Claiborne Co. in the 1830's. In George's will, he names John as one of his heirs. The Jones property adjoined the property of Hugh Slater. They lived in the three-corner area of Claiborne, Jefferson, and Copiah, so records may be in any of those counties, and Adams, too. Sue
