Hello, I'm new to the list and would appreciate help on my Warren ancestors from Mississippi. Florence Catherine WARREN was born in Mississippi on April 16, 1863. Her death certificate lists C.C. WARREN and Ann SMITH as her parents, both of whom were born in Mississippi. The 1850 US Census for Jefferson Cty, MS, lists C.C.'s age as 31 with a Mary, age 70, in the household. Does anyone have any idea who C.C.'s parents were? Was Mary his mother? Possibly Ann SMITH was C.C.'s second wife? Any help on this family will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ann

Ann, Charles C. Warren was b. 7 Feb 1820 in Union Church,Jefferson,MS and I think he died in Texas. He m/1 Lenora Scott on 13 Jan 1842 in Franklin Co., MS. She was b. 7 Jan 1825 in Franklin Co., and d. 5 July 1849 at Union Church,MS. Her parents were Nehemiah Scott and Margaret Lee. They had two boys, Nehemiah B. Warren, b. 1843; and John Winfield Warren, b. 1846. At the time of the 1850 census C.C. Warren did not have a wife. Mary Warren shown in the Census is probably his mother. Charles Warren m/2 Ann Smith in Jefferson County on 17 Sep 1850. An infant daughter of C.C. and Ann Warren was born and died on 21 Nov 1854 and is buried in the Union Church Cemetery. Also, they had a son, Archibald C. Warren, b. 4 Apr 1853 and d. 27 Jul 1854 who is buried there. This is all I have.
