    3. Posted on: Jefferson Co. Ms Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ms/Jefferson/10468 Surname: Lee, Coleman, Erwin, Linder ------------------------- One of my Coleman great grandmothers was a Corban and the name continues to be used as a boy's given name in my family. I believe Judge Corban of Fayette, MS, was her brother. I once met a Steve Corban in eastern LA who was, I think, his son. Steve knew of the relation to the Colemans since his family had moved from Jefferson County. He was also related to the Erwins who were also related to the Colemans. But the Linders were not, as far as I know. My Colemans lived near Union Church at Nebo Church. However, it is the Corbans I know nothing about. Can you give me any information? Thanks--

    2. Barbara Anderson, I gather from what you posted that your great grandmother must have been Margaret Eloisa Cunningham, a daughter of Hugh Cunningham and Sarah Ann May. She first married John Burnes Corban on 1 July 1857 and married second, Samuel Noah Coleman on 3 Feb 1870. Tony Miller in Calabasas, CA

    3. Good heavens, There have been books written on the Corbans! The best one I've found is "Corban Copies" by William Cunningham Corban.
