    1. [MSJEFFER-L] 1789 Oath of Allegiance
    2. Ben Strickland, P.O.Box 5147, Moss Point, MS 39563, has published these in: "Residents of the Mississippi Territory, Miscellaneous, Books 2A and 2B", by Jean Strickland and Patricia N. Edwards. These two volumes contain things like the 1792 Spanish Census of the Natchez area, Court Cases, Acts of the Legislature, Censuses in the area from 1803 through 1816, as well as the Oaths of Allegiance to Spain in 1789. It is a very handy reference for people looking into that area at the early period. It does not have a lot of the Tax Rolls for the various counties, but the Claiborne-Jefferson County, MS, Genealogical Society in Port Gibson has them on microfilm, as well as the county censuses.
