I agree 100% with your policy of "no advertising." In my opinion, Mr. Eddie Mikell is misusing the mailing list. To me, his frequent mailings look like nothing more than teasers for selling genealogy CDs. This is unsolicited commercial email, commonly called "spam." Mr. Mikell's statement that sales defray production costs confirms his business intentions. I fail to see the connection between Jefferson County, the focus of this website and home of my ancestors, and Lawrence County. Perhaps Mr. Mikell could set up his own website, as other businesses do. Alternatively, perhaps Mr. Mikell could submit his material for posting on the appropriate website without charge, as I and many others have done.
