Ms Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ms/Jefferson/429 Surname: Ludlow, Neel, Pace ------------------------- Thanks for answering. I found the Ludlows and Neels in Polk, Tyler and Jasper Counties and have been trying to get them placed with the right families. I accidently found the Neels on a web site of old Mississippi records. That's where I found the idea that Lanier W. md the widow of C.C. Neel. In Hickory Grove Cemetery in Tyler County there is a Culbertson C. Neel (1818-1907) buried next to Sarah Ludlow Neel (1826-1892)...evidently his wife? Do you have any idea who this Sarah is? When you find one of these families, you will probably find the other living nearby. James B. Pace, who married Sarah Ann Ludlow Johnson was a brother of my husbands great-grandfather, Eli Pace. They were the sons of Hardy and Mahalla (Isaacks)Pace, early settlers of Jasper Co., TX. This Hardy was also the step-son of my ggggrandfather, Thomas Watts, SR. Sarah and James B. had 2 children, Hardy M. Pace and Frances Pace who md. Isom Ard. Rena Pace who is buried with the others at Ebeneazer Cem. in Jasper Co. is Sarah's daughter, but not the dayghter of James B. She was born in 1873 and James died during the War between the States. I live in Jasper and if there is anything I can look up for you let me know.
