Ann, This is a nice tribute. Thanks for sharing. The Stowers fellow on there was probably the father of Dr. Kurt Stowers who was the greatest surgeon and doctor Natchez ever had. The guy actually worked himself to death. I still haven't had a chance to get through the 1860 Franklin County census on Henry Vaughn, but haven't forgotten it. Will get to it as soon as I get a chance. Don't know if it will be today or not as I have a computer coming in by UPS which I have to fix fasts and ship back out later today or tomorrow. Are you still having rain or is it drying out and warming up? Tony
Hello Ann, I am assuming you are close by and I am familiar with some of your kin, I am a member of Stanton Baptist Church of which Donald and Mary Geoghegan and Lucian and Mary Bullen are members and friends. Jefferson County is a close knit family when one gets to looking at their family tree. I am researching my wife's family who were all from Jefferson Co. Paternal, Bryant, Hodge, Humphreys, Babin...Maternal, Rushing, Humphreys, Anders, Rogillio which indirectly ties into your Trevillions. Perhaps we can exchange inf. and perhaps you can explain some of the mysteries of the Trevillion Cem. at Blue Hill. Just glad to finally see some surnames pop up that I am familiar with. God Bless. Hi Steve! Yes, my husband and I live in Roxie. We have no Trevillions in our line though! (Or none that I am aware of) None of those names are in my line that I have discovered so far. The Jefferson-Franklin County connections are all my husband's paternal side. We have most of the same maternal ancestors because we are fourth cousins on our mothers sides. They are from North Louisiana and the MS Gulf Coast. Archie's lines are GEOGHEGAN, BULLEN, VAUGHN, HERRING,CUNNINGHAM, MAY, KING, KINNISON, CORBAN, SEALE, HADSKEY. He does have a couple of HILL families! Ann, Thanks I thought I saw the name Trevillion posted on your posting. My line of Hills are all Wiregrass settlers and Crackers. I am a sixth generation Cracker and as far as I know I am the only one that has left Florida. I look forward to talking again, good luck and God bless.
