In your search for Montgomery information, have you come across a James Montgomery, son of James and Catherine Montgomery? Natchez Court Records by McBee has a July 1794 record of William Dunbar, attorney for Robert Dow, of New Orleans, physician , selling to James Montgomery and Dennis Nevill, both of Natchez, planters, 1000 square arpents on Cole's Creek, granted to Robert Dow.
