Maxfield Ludlow and Benjamin A. Ludlow were Deputy Surveyors in the area in the 1820-1830 period. Benjamin A. Ludlow married Sarah Christian in Claiborne Co. in Sept. 1830. Sarah A. Ludlow married a Jones in Tyler, TX an 1856. There are microfilm records from the Bureau of Land Management showing some of the plats they surveyed.
