Dear Ruth: I have a John Vaughan, son of Henry A. Vaughan, who married Mary Heckler and had a sister Mary of those ages. I have the middle initial as L. His sister Mary married Joel East in Franklin County in 1867. I don't know why she would take back her maiden name unless they were divorced. My info is VERY sketchy on this as we didn't know about my husband's great great grandfather's family until recently because his great grandfather was orphaned as a small child and raised by another sister to John named Louise Vaughan who married Dr. J.P. Wise. Dr. Wise owned several stores in the area. Ann Geoghegan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ruth K.
