Posted on: Jefferson Co. Ms Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ms/Jefferson/10520 Surname: Curtis, Byrd ------------------------- I am looking for information about Zilpha Bird who was married to James Curtis. I do not know where they were married either Amite or Jefferson Counties. James was the son of William, grandson of Richard. They married in 1804. Any information about Zilpha would be appreciated, birth, death, marriage, parents, etc. Thanks very much, Geneva
Kate Thanks for your information. I am sure you are right. Just wondering if the name could have been misinterpedid. You and I corresponded several years ago on the Gilbert/Alston line. Thanks for your help. Dorothy
TO: Barbara Haigh: Hi Barbara- FYI_-The John Gilbert who married Elizabeth Alston has no heirs with the Gilbert name left and none married a Bullen. I have chatted with Dorothy Cox before about the John Gilbert family ---since they were both in Jefferson County, it is sometime hard to keep them apart. Good to chat with you. Keep in touch. Dorothy : I saw your note to Barbara on this list. I think you have the wrong Gilbert family. The Gilbert who married Edna Bullen was Samuel Preston Gilbert and he was not related to your John Gilbert. He is part of my Gilbert family. Good to hear from you. Barbara, I'm Dorothy Cox whose ancestor is John Gilbert and Elizabeth Alston. They had a son who married a Bollin or was it Bullen? I read their marriage certificate in the courthouse but it seems it could have read either way. Do you know if it was Bollin or Bullen? Appreciate your help on this. Dorothy Cox Sugar Land TX

No, I don't. But I teach with John Bullen, and I understand that his wife Pat has a good bit on the Bullens. They live in Natchez,MS. If you need their address, let me know. OI am unfamiliar with the name Dickson, also. We have some Dickerson and Dickinson ... Are you sure you don't want Jefferson Davis County? Ann Brown
