Center Hill Baptist Church Founding Members – September 21, 1851 Center Hill Baptist Church is located Southeast of Plantersville, MS. Now in Lee County, MS, but at the time of these records was in Itawamba County. These records were copied from records of the church by Thomas Wayne Whitehead. We the members of the Richmond Church having met and conviened for the purpose of consulting the propriety of constituting a church at the above place. In said convention, brother Wm. Hood was elected moderator and R. E. Fowler, clerk and we find that the undersigned brethren and sisters have unanimously agree on the constitution of a church and be known as the Centerhill Church on our next regular meeting day which will be held on the third Sabbath Saturday before in November, we the undersigned members to belong at the church at Centerhill.
