Elmo Howell Parents Obits from Leland Ford mothers old book: Isaac Rude Howell July 25, 1898 -- July 17, 1987 Tremont: Isaac Rude Howell, 88, died on Friday at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church. Services were held Sunday at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church with Rev. Dee Brown and Rev. Ray Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Mount Pleasant Methodist Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Vista Howell of Tremont; one daughter, Hollie Dyer of Tremont; one son Elmo Howell of Memphis; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bobby Walker, Donnie Roberts, Jimmy Wilson, Aaron Graham, Carlton Graham and Terry Paul Graham. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Pleasant Church with Brother Ray Stevens and Brother Bruce Weatherly officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Methodist Cemetery with McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her husband, Issac Rude Howell; a son, Elmo Howell of Memphis; a daughter, Mrs. Hallie Dyer of Tremont; four sisters, Mrs. Verba Harbor, Mrs. Vista Stone and Mrs. Vona Harp, all of Tremont, Mrs. Vola Robinson of Zion, IL; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
